Timo Philippen is a partner at PMP Rechtsanwälte AG. As an architect and proven construction and project management expert, he is active in consulting and controlling. In particular, he has many years of experience with planner contracts by SIA and KBOB, fees for planners, the constitution of planner consortia, and the establishment of low-risk project organizations.
Timo Philippen studied architecture at the RWTH Aachen in Germany and graduated as an architect. He spent exchange years at the TU Vienna and the Universidad de Belgrano, Buenos Aires. After completing his studies, he worked as an assistant at the Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, as part of a postgraduate scholarship. He then worked for HOCHTIEF International in construction supervision/controlling in Santiago de Chile.
He came to Switzerland in 2004 and worked for a renowned construction management office in Zurich for 15 years. In 2009, he became Divisional Managing Partner and took over and expanded the areas of project planning and cost planning in 2012. As a member of the Executive Board, he assumed responsibility for project management in 2012 with a team of 18 project managers. Over the years, he has expanded his extensive expertise in the cost and project management of complex, large-scale projects with construction sums of between CHF 100 and 700 million. In particular, he has many years of expertise in contract design, the organizational forms and overall management of multidisciplinary general planning teams. His experience includes targeted crisis management and systematic project and project teams controlling.
He is also a construction economist and a member of the maneco professional association.
